Last Saturday was Melissa & Paul's BIG day! It sprinkled a little bit before the ceremony, but the sun shone for the rest of the day. They were married at Bridegwater United Methodist Church with their reception at the gorgeous new Cross Keys Vineyard. Melissa & Paul are huge ballroom dancers so it was extremely important to them that it was incorporated somehow. Melissa's dress was custom made after one of Ginger Roger's dancing dresses. Boy could it move! Their first dance was stunning to watch as they moved so gracefully around the dance floor. Nicki (my assistant) and I looked at one another and said..."we HAVE to learn how to dance like that!" haha. The winery itself was full of light and a joy to photograph in PLUS the staff is super nice. Food was delicious and the place cards were a great way to add a little Asian flair. Each guest's card had the symbol of what they were having for dinner. The unique & modern table centerpieces were designed after pieces seen at NYC's MOMA. The red Gerber Daisies were a perfect accent that promoted not only luck, happiness, & health, but also a fresh approach to Summertime. Their cake was one of the BEST that I've ever had and I will try to find out who made it, but it was lite, fluffy, and just the right amount of sweetness. Another personal touch was the cake's filling. The bakery agreed to use Melissa's mom's tart cherry jam. Mmmmm. So good!

PS-Aren't the little girls just the cutest kids!?! So pretty!

I had so much fun with these two lovebirds this past weekend! We hung out in downtown Leesburg, VA for most of these shots and we had the perfect weather. They have one of the sweeetest doggies ever...Ellie. So, it was mandatory that we take full advantage of her cuteness! We found a random huge field of yellow wildflowers that made for some great Summertime shots & I LOVE the attitude Jenn brought while wearing a vintage pink hat.

Here are just a few images from Nikki & Frank's wedding. Nikki and her lovely bridesmaids got ready at Hotel Monaco in Old Town Alexandria, VA. They decided to do all of their fun photos before the ceremony, which is always a plus for everyone! So, we hung out at a little park along the Potomac for a bit then drove right down the street to the Mount Vernon Inn for their ceremony & reception. I have never been to a wedding that had sooo many flowers. I was in awe! The stunning pinks, oranges, & greens just made you feel like Summer wrapped it's arms around you. It was A-mazing! Take a look at their cake topper...super cute & painted to resemble them. I would keep those forever. They had a ceramic dish that said "To Have & To Hold" imprinted into the porcelain. It was made by Paloma's Nest on etsy...gorgeous work! Their table number for each guest was painted onto little sail boats that everyone could take home with them. Nikki's dress is from Marisa Bridal & shoes by Grace.

I think my two of my favorite photos from the day are the b&w dance photo (above) where you can slightly see Nikki laughing AND the little flower girl throwing rose petals in the air after the ceremony. However, I do also love the damsel in distress photo with Frank shooting...What fun!

On Sunday, I had one of the most fun Engagement Sessions ever! Adrienne & Troy are getting married in August and they wanted their e-session photos to be in the place where they originally met...Harrisonburg, VA. We were really blessed with a gorgeous day and lots of laughs!

Take a look at Adrienne's yellow shoes with the big heart on the bottom...SO great! I had such a difficult time choosing which photos to post on here...needless to say they're extremely photogenic.
