So, I just love photographing kids!!! I find myself constantly being drawn to them at weddings. They have the most honest expressions and you can't beat that. So, I am introducing...my addition of Kid Sessions. It's simply an hour or two to hang out taking photos of your children & you!

Molly & Josh live in San Diego, but were married in Goshen, Va at the Hummingbird Inn (www.hummingbirdinn.com). They had a wonderful intimate ceremony with their closest friends and family inside while it drizzled outside. With all of the fireplaces in the house, it was super cosey! I love all of Molly's bright colored details and her fabulous silver shoes.
If you're looking for venues-check out the Hummingbird Inn. I, myself, plan on staying there sometime soon! It's so relaxing and the Innkeepers Patty & Dan couldn't be nicer. To top it all off, I had some of the BEST food (ever) made by Full Circle Catering (www.fullcirclecatering.com).
Katie and Matt were married this past Saturday at the Winery at La Grange in Haymarket, Va. I wish I could have just moved into the main house-it was beautiful! Leading up to the wedding, the day was just awfully hot no matter where you were in Virginia. However, the moment before Katie walked down the aisle, the skies opened up and poured. They had great spirits and continued on with their I do's. Katie had these awesome shoes that are pictured below that I had to feature. Katie and her son have two pairs of the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen!
Also, their cake was inspired by Joy & Hunter's (see main website gallery) with a modern spin that used fresh orchids...so cool.

Ohhhhh Baby! This past Saturday, I met Kara & Ben at Tarara Winery in Leesburg, VA to shoot their Engagement Session. The winery just so happened to be the place where Ben proposed to Kara! Despite the intense heat, we managed to have a great time hanging out & got some really great shots. Thanks so much guys!
Alyssa & Shawn had one crazy day! Hurricane Hanna decided to hit this past Saturday in the DC area which made for some treacherous conditions. However, right after the ceremony the sky cleared up and turned a brilliant color of blue. You would never have thought there was a storm in the first place. Their ceremony was at St. Barnabas' Episcopal Church in Annandale while their reception was at the Mt. Vernon Inn. I hope you both have fun in Europe!!!
Ann and Pat were married at the Chatmoss Country Club in Martinsville, Virginia with their reception at the same location. I highly recommend that location for anyone interested & looking for venues. Everyone was so laid back and was having such a fun time. The rain skipped over the area leaving the weather perfect for an outdoor wedding!
